No, we did not move to Miraheze. Do not use it
Andy Brown is a Teddy Ruxpin knockoff made by Macro Winners. It's notable for eventually becoming the company's main mascot, and is very similar to both Mario and the 1998 model of Teddy Ruxpin by Yes! Entertainment.
Appearance[]
The toy looks like Teddy Ruxpin, but with large ears and a slightly bigger nose. He wears a red and yellow jumper and blue dungarees with yellow buttons.
Functions[]
Not much is known about Andy Brown, although it's known that he can tell stories and move his eyes and mouth, and he is also from Brazil.
The stories he can tell are as follows:[1]
- Andy Gets Lost
- Bobby - The Circus Hero
- Doing Good Deeds
- Aladdin
- Cinderella
- Sleeping Beauty
- Snow White & 7 Dwarfs
- The 3 Little Pigs
- Goldilocks and the 3 Bears
- Peter Pan
- 10 Dialogues & 3 Fables
The story tapes were also released with Spanish versions, these tapes have the Spanish audio on the A side, and the English audio on the B side. These tape are white with the story name written in blue above the reel, and the Andy Brown logo below it.
One other tape is known, an 'Andy Brown Teddy Ruxpin' tape, that is a pinkish white with pictures of Andy Brown on it. It features slightly higher pitched recordings of the actual 1998 Teddy Ruxpin tapes. Apparently this tape is a prototype that never saw a release. They also seem to not work well with the 1998 Teddy Ruxpin.
Legacy[]
Due to Macro Winners being a client of Cube Technology, they were commissioned make hacks of several early NES titles for an advanced NOAC known as VT03. One of them is known as Andy Brown (A hack of Lode Runner), even though it doesn't star Andy Brown or have a character that looks like him at all. The hacks that actually features Andy Brown are Lucky Ball and Smart Andy. Which also features his sister as well.
There was also an entire Andy Brown "game" known as Andy Brown's World which is exclusively known to exist as the only game on the V-Mega Laptop. It was most likely developed by Shenzhen Niutai Technology, a company better known for porting many of their 16-bit games to Firecore hardware for use on AtGames systems.
The game is moreso of a VT03 remake of NES-based educational computers that Macro Winners used to make under the name GameStar. More specifically, the Smart Kids. In the game, Andy Brown himself has a good amount of voice acting. The game itself features a mishmash of stolen assets (Andy Brown uses Kirby's Star, The world music is from Super Dyna'Mix Badminton, Red from Pokémon appears, and most of the music and sound effects in the game are from early NES games).
